Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Sacco Board of Directors. The Digital Marketing and sales
Intern will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy,
creating engaging content, and supporting various marketing initiatives. This role
offers a hands-on experience in digital marketing within the technology industry,
allowing the intern to contribute ideas and gain valuable skills in a fast-paced
environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Assist in managing and growing our presence across various social media
    platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Tik Tok and
    Instagram.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and relevant
    conversations.
  • Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar, ensuring
    consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community
    interaction.
  • Content Creation:
  • Collaborate with the Sacco staff to brainstorm and develop creative content
    ideas aligned with our brand and marketing goals.
  • Produce high-quality written and visual content for social media posts, blog
    articles, infographics, videos, and other marketing materials.
  • Conduct research to gather insights and data for content creation, ensuring
    accuracy and relevance.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain quality standards and adhere to
    brand guidelines.

Marketing Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions,
    and events.
  • Help track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing
    insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Support the creation of marketing collateral, presentations, and sales
    materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and product
    development to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Sales:
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, trends,
    and competitor strategies.
  • Support the sales team in lead generation, prospecting, and customer
    relationship management activities.
  • Help prepare sales presentations, proposals, and other sales collateral.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing and sales departments,
    including data entry, file organization, and document management.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications and any business
    related courses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and familiarity with social media
    management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Basic understanding of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe
    Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to
    multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and willingness to learn about the IT software
    industry.
  • Previous experience in social media management, content creation, or
    marketing is a plus but not required.
