Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Sacco Board of Directors. The Digital Marketing and sales
Intern will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy,
creating engaging content, and supporting various marketing initiatives. This role
offers a hands-on experience in digital marketing within the technology industry,
allowing the intern to contribute ideas and gain valuable skills in a fast-paced
environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Assist in managing and growing our presence across various social media
platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Tik Tok and
Instagram. - Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and relevant
conversations. - Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar, ensuring
consistency in messaging and branding. - Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community
interaction. - Content Creation:
- Collaborate with the Sacco staff to brainstorm and develop creative content
ideas aligned with our brand and marketing goals. - Produce high-quality written and visual content for social media posts, blog
articles, infographics, videos, and other marketing materials. - Conduct research to gather insights and data for content creation, ensuring
accuracy and relevance. - Edit and proofread content to maintain quality standards and adhere to
brand guidelines.
Marketing Support
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions,
and events. - Help track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing
insights and recommendations for optimization. - Support the creation of marketing collateral, presentations, and sales
materials as needed. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and product
development to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. - Sales:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, trends,
and competitor strategies. - Support the sales team in lead generation, prospecting, and customer
relationship management activities. - Help prepare sales presentations, proposals, and other sales collateral.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing and sales departments,
including data entry, file organization, and document management.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications and any business
related courses. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and familiarity with social media
management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer). - Basic understanding of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe
Creative Suite, or similar software. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to
multitask and meet deadlines. - Enthusiasm for technology and willingness to learn about the IT software
industry. - Previous experience in social media management, content creation, or
marketing is a plus but not required.
